Beware of dangerous drugs!

recently I've received an email from a friend regards to dangerous/banned drugs. I'm not sure whether the info is true or false because my knowledge towards these are so minimal. Instead of fowarding this useful information to all my limited contacts, i've decided to blog it here so that it can share with more people that concern about the type of drugs that they consume.

Not many people know about these banned drugs and consume them causing a lot of damage to themselves. Please make sure that you only buy or take the drugs that prescribed by a doctor and do check which pharmaceutical that manufacture it to ensure it's a right drug to obtain.


PHENYLPROPANOLAMINE: cold and cough. Reason for ban : stroke.

ANALGIN: This is a pain-killer. Reason for ban: Bone marrow depression.

CISAPRIDE: Acidity, constipation. Reason for ban : irregular heartbeat
Brand name : Ciza, Syspride

DROPERIDOL: Anti-depressant. Reason for ban : Irregular heartbeat.
Brand name : Droperol

FURAZOLIDONE: Antidiarrhoeal. Reason for ban : Cancer.
Brand name : Furoxone, Lomofen

NIMESULIDE: Painkiller, fever. Reason for ban : Liver failure.
Brand name : Nise, Nimulid

NITROFURAZONE: Antibacterial cream. Reason for ban : Cancer.
Brand name : Furacin

PHENOLPHTHALEIN: Laxative.. Reason for ban : Cancer.
Brand name : Agarol

OXYPHENBUTAZONE: Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug.
Reason for ban : Bone marrow depression.
Brand name : Sioril

PIPERAZI! NE: Anti-worms. Reason for ban : Nerve damage.
Brand name : Piperazine

QUINIODOCHLOR: Anti-diarrhoeal. Reason for ban : Damage to sight.
Brand name: Enteroquinol

marketing gimmick?

a friend informed me that there is a promotion by a japanese restaurant in town from 21 feb till 29 mar. it offers 50% discount for lunch on sunday and dinner on saturday and sunday. so it took me few days to consider and finally i rang the restraurant yesterday and i was told that all the slots from 21 feb till 29 mar have been fully booked! I was shocked to hear that and the person over the phone repeat again. I then informed my friend about it and we were quite disappointed. But well... what to do?

I am wondering whether do they set a quota for this promotion? Or they capacity is not big to cater lots of people? Or we do have tons of japanese food lovers out there?

so my advice/suggestion to my friend is in future, without second thought, we should call up and reserve first, being kiasu rather than sorry later when there is no more vacancy! hahaha...

starting point as a blogger

BLOG? YES! what about blog, blogging & bloggers?

i've many friends into blogging since few years back and it did not trigger me to start my own blog. Until recently, there is a power behind me to urge me to start blogging and so, here I am now!

It's not that easy to write especially when you do not have anything specific in your mind that you want to share with people being known or unknown to you. I think it's a good way to start this blogging trend to express myself from the pressure of work, marriage life, my family and yet to be parenthood! Do pardon me if there is any mistake being made for a beginner, be it silly or serious. I do open & welcome comment/suggestion. FYI, this site of mine has no intention to harm/hurt anyone out there! :)

To start my blog, i had difficulty to think of a distinctive name for my blog so that it's different from others and meaningful to me. I believed using my own name is unique enough and hence here's my blog http://sohhong.blogspot.com. Congrats to myself on the first move and i wish to share more about myself with you out there! Nice to meet you :)
